Panama 1892-96 Panama Map issue (15P-21P), 1c-1p complete set of seven plus re-engraved 10c, die proofs in black, cut to stamp size with portion of bottom margin showing die number; also a similar set with die numbers changed on the die; also die proofs of just the 2c, 5c and 10c, the basic stamps used for C.Z. #1-3 and 11-13, the 2c in bright red orange, the 5c and 10c in issued colors; 2c and 10c cut to stamp size, 5c on 83 x 74 mm card with full die sinkage; the plate proofs are F-VF, the die proofs a bit soiled (Panama #15-21P). Panama 1915-16, 1c, 2c, 5c & 10c pictorials, plate proofs on card (205P1//211P1/CZ 42-45), the four values that were overprinted for the Canal Zone, vertical pairs of the frames only, in deep green, and of the vignettes only, in black, plus a vertical pair of the 3c vignette. Fresh and Extremely Fine. A rare set of so-called "cancellation" proofs (Panama 205-206, 210-211TC).

In 1933 the American Bank Note Co. received authorization to cancel most Panama stamp plates. Accordingly, one sheet was printed from each plate on hand, all in deep green. It is presumed that the plates were then either destroyed or defaced and put into permanent storage.

Panama 1918, 12c-24c Canal Views, large die proofs (214P1-216P1), India on card, reduced to approximately 75 x 60 mm (12c 60 x 70 mm). Mounting stains on reverse, light soiling, rare. It is interesting to note that the overprinted stamps were released in the Canal Zone a full year before the unoverprinted stamps were issued in Panama.
