(late usage of official stationery as they were declared obselete four days later on July 5), 3¢ War on fawn (UO55) postmarked "Wms'pt & Balt. R.P.O. May 15", 1886 usage of 3¢ Post Office on lemon (UO7) entire, and a legal size 6¢ Post Office on lemon (UO12) entire with free registry and D.L.O. printed rosette corner card signifying a returned letter with valuable contents, overall Very Fine, 1¢ overpayment of the 2¢ first class letter rate.

Sep 21, 1901" machine cancel to Chicago, Ill., handstamped Department of State penalty imprint, printed Dept. of State corner card, Sep 22 Chicago machine receiver on reverse, black State Dept wax seal; small faults include filing fold at left and edge wear, slight overall toning, Fine.

President William McKinley died on September 14, 1901 from two gunshot wounds sustained at the Buffalo Pan-American Exposition. The mourning cover was mailed just seven days later.

Pre-Stamped Official Envelopes, group of five pre-stamped return envelopes comprising three 3¢ Interior (O98) envelopes with Bureau of Education and Commissioner of Pensions return addresses (the Pensions return includes the original enclosure mentioning the return envelope), one 2¢ Treasury (O73) with a Post Office lock box 62 return address, and one 1¢ War (O114) with a strip of four and pair on a legal size return to the Chief Signal Officer of the Army; some small faults, otherwise Fine to Very Fine group.

Fort Keogh, Montana Indian head cancel, complete strike in light blue on 3¢ green (184) on lemon cover to Lockport Station, Pa., full strike boxed Fort Keogh postmark, Feb 24, 1881, alongside Official Business corner card, Very Fine (even though the strike is very fine and complete, because of the light blue ink in which it is struck, it does not show up well on the stamp).

Feb 14" duplex used locally on a yellow Post Office business envelope; third is a 2¢ carmine (220) postmarked by "Jamestown Tenn. Jul 24, 1894" to Greenfield, N.H., Dept.of Interior penalty envelope with Official Business crossed out in manuscript; few small stamp faults and wear on second cover, fine group.
