1847, 5¢ red brown (1), large margins to barely touching at bottom center, tied by manuscript cross on small embossed ladies envelope postmarked red "East Windsor Hill, Ct., Feb 14" ("4" in manuscript), fresh and Very Fine. One of only two recorded 5¢ 1847 covers from East Windsor Hill, which received no 1847 stamps of either denomenation. Includes an appropriate small lace valentine with no evidence linking it to the cover.
