"U.S. Naval Lyceum" full rigged ship, envelope franked with 3¢ dull red (11) tied by clear "Chicago, Ill., Aug 15" (1855) c.d.s., addressed to New York, forwarded with Brooklyn "U.S. Naval Lyceum" handstamp depicting full-rigged ship; stamp slightly faulty, F.-V.F. Enclosed is a 7-page letter from a woman to her brother. The Constellation had apparently already sailed, so the letter was forwarded by the Naval Lyceum in Brooklyn.
