Lot Photo Description
Lot 2192

Postal Card, 1914, 1¢ green on buff, die 1, quadruple impression (UX27 var.), mint card. Light vertical crease at center does not detract from this spectacular error. Very Fine. A rare card, unlisted by both Scott and U.P.S.S.. UPSS S37 var.
Estimate 5,000 - 7,500

This card is probably from the Hoe/Potter horizontal steel plate printing. Though the head is 24mm tall, it is impossible to get a horizontal measurement. Thus we are calling it a variety of U.P.S.S. S37.
