1874 (15/27 Oct.) folded cover from St. Petersburg to Naples (2.11), bearing 1866 10k cancelled St. Petersburg c.d.s., boxed "Nebpoln Oplacheno" (insufficiently paid) with Italian 30c postage due applied in Naples and tied by c.d.s., green sender's oval and red manuscript "=40", Very Fine. The rate, as of 1 January 1874, was 16k or 70c. The 10k paid was equal to 40c, leaving 30c to be paid by addressee.

1865 (18/30 June) envelope from Tiflis, Georgia to Naples (20.7) via Odessa and Vienna (16.7), bearing 1858 20k and two each 1864 3k & 30k tied by "40" dotted circular, large circle "Franco", "P.D." and Odessa diamond, manuscript "2" for double weight and "f40" changed to "80"; edge wear, one 3k discolored, Fine. The 86k was equal to 350c. As of 15 May 1863 a double weight letter would have been charged 300c.
