133 20¢ Zeppelin (C18), Collection of eight non-Zeppelin usages comprising three different 1935 China Clipper flights, a cover cancelled at Moffett Field 15 minutes after the crash of the Macon; an airmail cover from Washington, D.C. to Brazil, Apr. 9, 1934; same from New York to Dutch East Indies, Mar. 30, 934; same from boston to Mukden, Manchkuo, June 19, 1934; an a Washington, D.C. Philatelic Agency registered cover, May 8, 1935; some perf toning on one of the Clipper covers, otherwise F-VF. A very rare group. C18 was intended only for use on the Century of Progress Zeppelin flights. the owner of this specialized group writes. "It is estimated that no more than 25 such covers [non-Zeppelin] exist with about 8-10 being used on the first Clipper Flights…".

Early Airmail Postcards, Lifetime accumulation of about 200 mainly vintage picture postcards, virtually all featuring early winged aircraft and/or pilots, emphasis is on American with quite a bit of C.P. Rodgers and the "Vin Fiz Flyer", but there is also a little European and some lighter-than-air. Cards includes lots of real photos. A terrific lot.

Air Express Covers, Unmounted collection of more than 100 covers, 1927-1938, excellent variety but also a good bit of duplication, includes the rare National Air Transport cover of Sept. 1, 1927 serviced by Roessler (A.A.M.C. #2, $200, only 10 flown). a fantastic group of these very scarce and little known covers. Also includes a little collateral like brochures and receipts.
