1926 (May 9) Byrd North Pole Flight (AAMC 1039), flight cover flown on the first polar flight by Commander Richard E. Byrd and accompanied by Floyd Bennett, signed "R. E. Byrd", bearing 2¢ red (583) tied by "NY-Alesund 9.V.26" c.d.s., second strike at left, and Norway 5ø and 25ø tied by "Kings Bay 9.V.26" c.d.s., accompanied by a 1927 registered letter from Byrd, Very Fine, one of only a few recorded signed by Byrd. AAMC $1,500.
