1951 (Mar. 19 and 27), Brooklyn to A.P.O. 613, San Francisco, two letters from a girlfriend (?) written before Tutino's capture, both covers bearing 6¢ airmail postage (one with pair of 3¢ Prexie coils) and each with the same markings: "Directory Searched, A.P.O. 613" datestamp., manuscript "Missing", magenta "Verified Missing in Action, AG SEC., GHQ, FEC. APO 500" handstamp and "Return to Writer" pointing hand, both backstamped unnumbered A.P.O. and A.P.O. 500 machine cancels, Very Fine.

1951 (Nov. 4), plain lettersheet datelined Camp #3. Tutino writes "Through the peace loving people of China, I have been given another opportunity to write" and tell of the prisoners "pleasant" daily life including good food and social activities, even "variety shows", stenciled "Free/ Via Air Mail/ (P.L. 609)" and postmarked A.P.O. 100, Jan 23, 1952, Very Fine.

1952 (ca. Nov) Christmas Card to Brooklyn, colorful Christmas/New Year card from Tutino and his friend, Pfc. Irvin Edwards, includes the message "See every one next year". Cover with two Chinese handstamps in red: "Via the Chinese People's Committee/ for World Peace and against/ American Agression,/ Peking, China" and "Prisoner's Mail (in Chinese)/ Service des/ Prisonniers de guerre", backstamped "Brooklyn, N.Y., Gravesend Sta., Jan 22 6 PM", Very Fine and very rare. The "American Agression" handstamp, a Chinese propaganda ploy, was in use for a very short time, due to American pressure caused by prisoners refusing to send mail that included the marking.
