British Empire Collection, fantastic, virtually intact collection to about 1964 in seven chock-full Scott Specialty albums (one without binder). The value is mainly in mint with solid coverage across the whole spectrum of coloies. Strong countries (and there really are no "weak" ones) include Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Canada (mint Jubilees to the 50¢ and virtually complete from there on — plus earlier), Hong Kong, New Zealand, Malaya and Straits Settlements, etc., etc. Highlights almost too numerous to mention but we will attempt a few: we note Barbados mint blocks of #20b & 56 (among others), Bechuanaland Prot. 5sh #57, B.C.A. 1897 £2 #56 (used), Cyprus 1921 £1 #88, Natal 1902 £10 #98 and much, much more. And, this is not a mediocre collection with a few good items salted in — it includes all the $100-$500 sets and singles one would expect when stamps of the calibre we mention above are included. Additionally, condition, other than a few minor flaws on some of the 19th century, is pretty uniformly Fine to Very Fine with NH common on later material (Canada #177, O9 for instance). A fabulous, once-in-a-lifetime oppotunity.
Estimate 50,000 - 75,000
