The Washington D.C. incised star cancellation was used for only a short time period in 1873. There are two recorded 3¢ Justice usages on July 25, 1873. The other was contained in the Turner Collection offered in our sale 304.

C.", piece has been affixed to a large portion of the front page Carroll County Citizen newspaper article titled "First Package by Parcels Post" that details the complete account of this package, both affixed to an old album page, Very Fine.
