LUBECK 1865 4s bister envelope (Michel U10), used with 1s orange and 2s rose (9, 10) cut to shape and tied by two strikes Luebeck Bahnhof c.d.s., 10 Nov 1865, to Manchester, England, manuscript "2¾", handstamped red "P.D." and London Paid transit c.d.s., 13 Nov, backstamped Manchester on the same day; couple minor edge flaws, Very Fine. A most unusual and attractive cover.

SAMOA 1900 Yachts overprinted "Ultramar" (57//69S), 3pf-5m less the 30pf and 50pf, each handstamped "Ultramar" in blue by the Portuguese Postal Administration for distribution to one of her colonies; few small faults, all without gum and toned. A rare set. 1989 Holcombe Certificate noting only the 20pf missing (it is here) and not noting the missing 30pf & 50pf, despite his attached photo which shows the correct 11 values (he mentions 12 values).
