1899 Overprinted and Republic Issues Postal History (228-230, E2), group of 22 items comprising one U.S. unoverprinted soldier's letter, six U.S. overprinted issue covers, five 228, two 229, five 230 and one E2 use plus U13 and U17 used entires, better includes 221 & 225 used as postage dues on incoming cover from United States bearing U.S. 2¢ postage and marked due "6" (double deficiency) with handstamp, E2 used with 228 tied by "Havana Cuba Apr 25 1900" duplex addressed locally (pencil docketing indicates "First Day"), 228 soldier's mail use to St. Louis Mo., and 230 registered use to Chicago Ill.
