Encased Postage, "Feuchtwanger" 9¢ strip, three 3¢ rose (65) singles overlapping in copper encasement, with a fancy eagle & snake on reverse and covered in mica, with the usual mica works, Fine.
Estimate 200 - 300

These were probably produced in the 1890s to sell to collectors. The name derives from the 1837 Feuchtwanger "hard times" token, used in an earlier period during a scarcity of coins.
