Better Never Hinged Stamps, selection of 29 different including 4¢ 6¢ & 10¢ Columbians (10¢ reperfed at left), 2¢ 3¢ & 5¢ Louisiana Purch., #339, Lincoln bluish paper (reperfed at right), 394-95, 417, 420, 8¢ Kans., E7 and K18; not all the gum is pristine (the 420 has small gum skips, for instance), but most is, and all are bright and fresh and F-VF or better including a few potential "90s". Scott $3,585.

Mint Extremely Fine Assortment, selection of 27 mainly LH stamps comprising 219D, 341, 420, 427, 429 (slightly oxidized), 510, 515, 517, 550, 555 (2), 557 (NH), 561 (NH), 562, 664, 665, 689, 693, 696 (2), 715 (NH), E6, E8, E11, F1, O126 and QE4a. All very fresh and beautifully centered and all should rate at least 90-95 if graded. A terrific little lot. Scott value is $1,650.

Mint Jumbos, assortment of about 40 lower catalog stamps, 1890-1939, put together in the 1960s and '70s and selected generally for the size of the margins, though "jumbo" is stretching it in some cases; most are well centered and a few have no gum or small flaws, e.g. there is a VG E4 with a straight edge, a handsome 90¢ Interior Dept. nicely reperfed on two sides and a beautiful 6¢ Treasury with a filled thin; otherwise generally F-VF or better, with a small number being NH. Scott value is over $4,000.
