City Despatch Post, 1842, 3¢ black on grayish (40L1), full upper right corner margin pair, position 5-6, as fresh as the day it was printed with full, never hinged original gum (hinged in the selvage only), an absolutely Superb gem of a pair.

ONE OF THE FINEST SURVIVING MULTIPLES OF THE FIRST ADHESIVE POSTAGE STAMP USED IN THE UNITED STATES.

Expertization: 2002 PF and 2009 PSAG Certificates, both specifying never hinged, the latter graded 100.
