Bldg. illus. from visitor on Portland Day, other is multicolor Centennial image of Liberty leading explorers on hotel cover, each 1905 World's Fair m.c., latter cover small tear, Fine, other Very Fine.

1912, $1 violet brown (423), vertical strip of three, used with 30¢ orange red & 50¢ violet (420 & 421 or 422) on large part of registered package front postmarked violet "Washington D.C. Registered Jul 15, 1915" c.d.s., making this the Earliest Documented Use of the $1 Franklin; to the Federal Reserve Agent in San Francisco from the Comptroller of the Currency, stamps tied by Washington dateless ovals and traces of orange red crayon, handstamped "In care U.S. Subtreasury" at lower left, light; Fine. A rare legitimate commercial usage of these high values. Scott value for #423 on cover is $7,000.

1916 Post Office Announcement of the 5¢ carmine error (467), 3½" x 5½" flyer entitled "Misprinted Two-Cent Stamp" tells postmasters to withdraw any that are found and return them and to redeem any "Misprinted 2-cent stamps presented at post offices by the public…at 2 cents"., Very Fine and quite rare.

Wiley Post, signature on prepared Round the World Flight cover for the Winnie Mae in June 1931, additionally signed by navigator Harold Gatty, usual flight cachets and markings incl. Berlin c.d.s. also tying 2c Washington, Very Fine. The public's response to this successful flight rivaled that of Lindbergh in '27.
