1879, 90¢ carmine (191), a remarkably well centered block of four with absolutely brilliant color and full original gum, the lower left stamp being never hinged and the lower right barely so; some separation of selvage neatly reinforced (not mentioned on accompanying certificates); a choice, Extremely Fine block.

1880 Special Printing, 90¢ dull carmine (202), rich color on bright fresh paper, centered to the right, as are most of the recorded examples, without gum as issued, removal of two tiny ink spots at upper left leaves a barely noticeable lightening of the impression, otherwise Very Fine for this.

1882, 10¢ brown, re-engraved (209), bottom sheet margin strip of four with plate number and imprint, beautifully centered with "boardwalk" bottom margin, characteristic of bottom sheet margin stamps of the period; rich color, sharp, prooflike impression and immaculate, never hinged original gum; wonderfully fresh and Very Fine. An exceptionally handsome plate number multiple.
