Nine stamps comprising unused 56X1, 62X1 (o.g.), 62X2, 62X3 (2) and used 11X2 (repaired upper right corner, otherwise VF), 56X2 (tied on piece), 62X3 (repaired) and 62X4 (tied on piece); condition, other than the 11X2 & used 62X3, is F-VF.

Confederacy, Small Collection of General Issues, 1861-63. Twenty stamps including mint #1 (no gum), 4 natural gum bend, 8, 14, and used #1 (2), 2, 3, 5 (2, one carmine rose), 9 ("T-E-N", clipped corners) plus a Sperati forgery of the "T-E-N"; mixed condition, the best stamps with faults.

Collection of General Issues on Cover. 20 covers comprising numbers 1 (3 including a pair used Oct 29, 1861 - unreadable town), 2 (6, including a homemade cover with three singles - one stamp badly damaged & repaired), 5 (2, one turned), 6 pair, 6 & 7 used together, 7 (two pairs on one cover), 8 (poor), 11 (3, one on a Treasury Dept. envelope - TD-02) and 12 (4, one turned); condition is a little mixed, especially on the scarcer usages, otherwise generally Fine.

Balance of Confederate Postal History Collection. Nine covers: Handstamped Paids from Clinton, Shreveport, and Red River Landing, La.; Postmasters' Provisionals from Houston, Tex. (40XU1 - poorly struck), Mobile, Ala. (58XU2 - badly stained Carroll-Hoy cover - ugly wallpaper?), and New Orleans (two, 62X3 pair and 62X3); also a U.S. 3¢ 1857 used from Mobile, Ala. to Claiborne, Miss., Mar 2, 1861, and an 11-Star Flag C.S.A. patriotic cover (C.S.A. F11-16, v. 13) from Richmond to Vicksburg, Dec 27, 1862, "Due 10" - water-stained and faulty.

MONTREAL straightlines to Quebec; 1795 boxed "HALIFAX·N·S·" with 2-line "JUN 27/95" below on a folded cover from England; 1798 "St. John, N*B*/ Dec'r. 31 '98" straightline to Fredericton, two Money-Letters (Hamilton & Toronto) and lots of scarcer circles (10 to the United States); a marvelous lot, clean and F-VF throughout.
