New York, N.Y., 1845, 5¢ black on bluish (9X1), horizontal pair, positions 28-29, large margins all around, fresh deep color and a sharp impression, cancelled by blue manuscript and red "New York '10cts.' 27 Apr" c.d.s. on 1846 folded cover to Pittsburgh Pa., red "Paid" in arc handstamp adjacent and manuscript "Paid LH" endorsement; small scissors cuts in margin only between stamps at bottom, slight ink erosion from one ms. stroke, an Extremely Fine and attractive usage.
