1847, 5¢ red brown (1), horizontal pair, full to large margins except barely in at right, late impression, tied by fancy dotted grid in blue, struck twice on envelope to Carthage N.Y., blue "Middletown Con. Sep. 19" c.d.s. with matching Roman Numeral "X" in circle and "Paid", all bold strikes; cover opened three sides, left stamp with small stain, Fine and rare.
