A LOVELY FRESH AND WELL CENTERED UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 5¢ RED BROWN 1857-1861 ISSUE.
Expertization: 1977 PF Certificate.
Provenance: Beals
This example of the 5¢ red brown is arguably the finest of the half dozen or so certified unused singles. There are also three or four sound original gum certified singles, but this stamp is better centered than any of these.
