1851, 1¢ blue, type II (7), position 14/24/34 R1E vertical strip of three, bright color, large margins on three sides, touched or just in at bottom, small scissors cut in margin between lower pair, cancelled by distinctive red segmented circular grids on 1851 folded letter to Richmond, matching "Wheeling Va./Aug. 21" c.d.s., strip crossed by lightly ironed vertical filing crease and small part of address scraped away, otherwise Very Fine and a lovely cover.
