1851, 1¢ blue, type II (7), position 2-10L2, a phenomenal horizontal strip of nine, position 2 has the major plate crack, deep color, mainly large to enormous margins which is unusual for a multiple of this size, right stamp in at top and a few tiny nicks at bottom, tied by "St. Paul M.T./Sep 7 1856" c.d.s. on legal-size envelope to Washington Court House, Ohio, a few cover faults and reduction at sides, the cover refolded for aesthetic purposes since the stamps were applied across front and back.
