Great Britain, 1840, Queen Victoria First Issue, 1d black, First Day Cover (1), plate 2, "O.D.", three full margins, barely touched lower right, tied by red handstamped cancel on folded letter from Bristol to London, letter datelined "Bristol May 6 1840" and a beautifully struck "Bristol MY 6 1840" on reverse with circular "E 7 MY 1840" as well, filing fold passes through stamp and a tiny non-contemporary ink mark at top right, both barely noticeable, handsome usage. SG £75,000 ($114,750).
