1901, 4¢ Pan-American, center inverted (296a), regummed. A bit faded with typical centering, a completely sound and very presentable example of this rare classic U.S. error.

The 4¢ Pan-American invert was produced in a special printing only. Most of the approximately 200 examples believed to exist (including an unknown number with "specimen" overprint) were removed from backing paper and as a result were damaged or at a minimum, have disturbed gum.
