1909, 1¢ green, bluish paper (357), average centering, tied on picture postcard by Feb 22, 1909 duplex cancel, the earliest documented use of the 1¢ bluish paper, Very Fine. While the date of the postmark is quite clear, the town name is illegible; it is likely Washington, D.C. as the writer mentions he is sending out a copy of the Congressional Directory and the picture side shows Washington's bedroom at Mt.
