1847, 5¢ red brown (1), large margins except at bottom left corner, attractive late shade, tied by black grid on Jan. 1, 1851 folded letter to the Hopedale Community near Milford, Mass., red "Boston 5cts, 2 Jan." c.d.s. at center and manuscript "(Paid)" at lower left, lengthy contents from mother to son, who was studying there, with a P.S. requesting that the letter be burned, Very Fine.
