Burnham P.M., Registered, Aug 21 1879" blue dcds, illustrated c.c.; reduced slightly at left, Very Fine and attractive.

This was the start of use of magenta cancelling ink on registry mail. The Hartford Ct. postmaster dcds is quite unusual.
