1899 (Sep 11) "Marianas", type 1.2 "Marianas" Sep. 11 postmark with matching strikes of dark violet type 2.1 oval of dots and star tying 1¢ deep green (1) pair and single, and 5¢ blue (5) single on cover to Makins & Co. in San Francisco, backstamped Yokohama Japan 16 Sep 99 and San Francisco Oct 9, 1899; corner card partially erased causing abrasion, pair with s.e., Very Fine and rare usage.
