Justice Dept., 1875, 1¢ purple, overprinted "Specimen", ribbed paper (O25SDc), second printing on ribbed paper, bottom margin block of four, slight doubling in LL creating a tall "I" variety, fine to very fine centering, exceptional color. Without gum as issued. Very Fine and choice multiple.
