AN EXTREMELY RARE SARAWAK SECOND ISSUE AND STRAITS SETTLEMENTS COMBINATION USAGE.
Prior to Sarawak's entry into the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in 1897, Sawarak stamps were only valid for postage to Singapore. As a result, Straits Settlements adhesives were required for postage on any letters destined beyond Singapore.
