Panama 1866 cover to Ireland, sent unpaid with British Panama c.d.s., Sept 23, and manuscript "1/3" rate, London "More to Pay " in circle and 1p red tied by London transit ellipse, Monkstown, Ireland receiver, Oct 15, bds "H & K PACT" [Holyhead & Kingston Packet] c.d.s. on the same date; slightly repaired edge wear and small tears, otherwise Very Fine. Said to be the only recorded cover from British Panama to Ireland.
