Canada, 1857, Queen Victoria, ½d rose (Unitrade 8), large beautifully balanced margins, bright and fresh, tied by squared grid cancel on bluish cover to South Cayuga, "Printed Circular." handstamp at upper left, Paris (9.10.1858) and Dunnville (9.10) backstamp transits; reduced slightly at right, a Very Fine and scarce ½d circular rate use. From 1851, the circular/printed matter rate was 1d per oz. This was reduced to ½d sometime in early 1854.
