1852, 1¢ blue, type IV (9), horizontal pair, position 77-78L1L (left stamp recut twice at top, once at bottom), large margins except clear at lower left, used with 4-margin #11 and tied by New Orleans postmarks on Apr. 7, 1856 folded letter and prices current to Trie, France, red "New-York Br. Pkt. Apr. 16" exchange postmark and Calais transit, marked for double weight with large manuscript "26" (decimes due) at center, British transit and French postmarks on reverse, Very Fine.
