1855, 10¢ green, type II (14), horizontal strip of three, large margins to clear at top, tied by red grids, matching "New Haven Con. May 6, 1856" c.d.s. on cover to Munich, Germany, red "Boston 7 Br. Pkt. Paid May 7" exchange c.d.s. and boxed Aachen Franco handstamp, manuscript instruction "Via Prussian Closed Mail", with original enclosure; no flap, vertical. crease between 1st & 2nd stamps, small water stain at right edge barely affecting strip, still attractively fresh with Very Fine appearance.
