1851, 12¢ black (17), single used with two 1¢ blue type IV (9) and pair 3¢ dull red (11), all with margins to cutting, tied together by light strikes of blue Charleston S.C. postmark on front only to Mexico City, Mexico, manuscript "Via Mail Steamer from New Orleans to Vera Cruz", "6" (reales due) handstamp on 3¢ pair, partial Vera Cruz oval receiving postmark; some gum staining at top above stamps, Fine and very scarce, this was a double 10¢ sea route rate via American packet.
