1916, 2¢ carmine, type II, unwatermarked, vertical rotary press coil (487), joint line pair. Original gum never hinged, perfectly centered, fresh and crisp. Superb as point of reference, the PSE's highest grade is 95, and there are only three at that grade. SSV $2,100 (SMQ unpriced as 98, $1,400 as 95).
