BENNINGTON VT./ JULY. 29, bold strike of Type C two-line postmark with manuscript day, on ca. 1829 folded letter to the postmaster of Port Kent, N.Y. "at Burlington Vt." with large manuscript "free" in red and a smaller "Free" above it in the hand of the sender; minor math doodles, Very Fine strike. One of four recorded, and the only "Free" example.
