American Letter Mail Co., 1844, 5¢ black, thin paper (2nd printing) (5L1), large margins to mostly clear except barely in at left, "tied" by heavy manuscript cancel which goes through the paper, on undated folded letter (first page missing) used Philadelphia, accompanied by Feb. 1845 stampless well struck company oval (Boston) and matching serrated box, "Collect 6 ½ cts"; Fine to Very Fine lot.
