Blood & Co., 1854 (1¢) bronze on lilac (15L14), single acid tied on cover with 3c dull red (11) to Plaquemine, La., to be redirected to Jesuit Bend, La. but missent to Pointe a la Hache, manuscript "Missent & Ford. 3¢" and manuscript Pointe a la Hache Sept. 24th postmark, docketing indicates it was received at Jesuit Bend on the same day and forwarding paid, Blood's stamp tied by brown Plaquemine receiving c.d.s. of Sept. 16; cover opened roughly at R. and large part of back missing, otherwise Fine and unique usage, worthy of restoration.
