Canada, 1852, 3d red (4), four mostly large margins, barely tied by target cancel on folded letter from Montreal to Huntingdon, L.C., postmarked Montreal broken circle, Feb 9, 1855, endorsed by sender "Money Letter of T. Nye of 7th Feby '55'" minor separation along inner folds, Fine.
Estimate 400 - 500
Because of the absence of any postal markings other than the Montreal postmark; not even a written letter bill number, it seems likely that the letter was handled as ordinary mail, despite the fact that enclosed was £10 for payroll at a lumber camp.
