Canada, To Italy from the Ontario House of Assembly, 1¢ yellow and stirp of three 3¢ dull red, tied by fancy segmented cork cancels on cover from Ottawa to Modena, blurred strike "HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY/ONTARIO/(Crown)/Feb 16/1877", bold red London PAID transit c.d.s., March 7, backstamped Modena March 9, initialed "THMPP", perhaps in a failed attempt to free-frank the letter, since the left-most stamp is actually over the Assembly c.d.s., minor opening tears at top, otherwise a Very Fine double 5¢ U.P.U. rate.
