1909 Fulton-Flight, black and yellow publicity label picturing a plane, a balloon and two dirigibles over the Hudson River, an unused block of four (one stamp repaired) and a single affixed to a cover bearing a 2¢ Hudson Fulton (372) cancelled East Orwell, O., Nov. 8, 1909, F-VF and very rare.

On September 28, 1909 two dirigibles, attempting to win a $10,000 prize by sailing about the same route on which Fulton sent his first steamboat left New York's "Fulton Flight Square", at 119th St. and Riverside Drive, for Albany. One was forced down near White Plains after only two hours. The other dropped into the Hudson at 190th St. Airplanes left the south end of Manhattan at the same time and made the trip without mishap.
