January 2, 1893 enclosure reads in part, "Dear Sir, As I was at the Post Office this morning they told me that the new stamps had just arrived. I bought a supply and one of the first I used on this letter to you, thinking that perhaps, as they do not send them to the small offices at first, you may not have seen one…".
