Canada, 1870, 3¢ copper red, perf 12½ (37d), tied by 2-ring "54", along with a 2¢ large queen (24), on cover from Truro, N.S. to Acadia Mines, N.S., postmarked clear Truro broken circle, Feb 3, 1870 and two-line handstamp "REGISTERED/LETTER No.__" with manuscript "122", no backstamps; light foxing, otherwise a Very Fine and rare cover; according to Keenlyside this is the third earliest usage of the 3¢ perf 12½.
