Canada, 1852, 3d red, thin paper (4d), four margins, tied by one of two strikes red target cancel on folded letter from Gananoque, U.C. to Brockville, U.C., postmarked red Gananoque broken circle, March 15, 1854, and matching "MONEY" handstamp, backstamped at Brockville the same day, small repaired tear at top, otherwise fresh and Very Fine. One of only two recorded examples of this locally made provisional handstamp.
