Guadeloupe, 1880 (Aug. 5) neat cover, bearing Postage Due typeset 15c black on pale blue (Cérès T4), large margins all round, tied by "Pointe-à-Pitre/Guadeloupe" c.d.s. and showing "15" décimes handstamp adjacent, single deficiency for the short-lived drop letter rate, envelope a trifle reduced at top and flap missing, nevertheless Very Fine and rare, one of only two recorded examples of this stamp on cover.
