Italy, 1865-66 large part and complete folded letters (2) from Rome to Rieti and Rome respectively, the former official unfranked with Postage Due 1863 10c orange (Sassone 1b) unusually tied by crisp "Rieti/Umbria" c.d.s. and the latter bearing Papal States 5b from the left of the sheet over which Postage Due 1863 10c yellow (Sassone 1) pair (small faults) applied uncancelled as was the normal practice, and 1918 (Sept. 17) local Naples cover bearing Postage Due 1890-94 10c orange and carmine variety numerals inverted (Sassone 21a) in vertical pair (three items).
