Canada, Earliest Recorded Labrador Postmark, 1¢ 2¢ and 3¢ small queens tied by circular grids paying double rate on cover postmarked with rimless broken circle "BLANC-SABLON/NEWF'D. TY./JY 23/93", to Baddeck, N.S., backstamped Coastal T.P.O.N. July 27, St. John's Newf'd July 31, Halifax Aug 4, and Baddeck Aug 5; tear at left and 3¢ stamp damaged, otherwise Fine. Believed by owner to be a transit marking, but it is the earliest dated marking on the cover and the only one on the front.
